I think stable repository will have revisions 3.4.0, 3.4.1, 3.4.2 ... dev repository will have last build package (containing nearly last source revision).
But I see that bug 6713<http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6713> is not yet integrated. Patch is just send. It will need testing and integration before it is integrated in GIT then debian package.
You will have to integrate manually this patch. It is not so difficult. Read it to apply it on source. Remove lines begining with - and add lines begining with +.
For more, Google is your friend.

How can we get the patch? If I have it, then I am stuck cuz Koha is not detecting duplicates when I import the “copy 2” items. My library catalog is full of original “copy 1” records. Now I am adding 500 second copies (my collection was divided into copies when I started the conversion to move to Koha). ****

You can see in release note of Koha 3.4.4 it has been integrated : http://koha-community.org/koha-3-4-4/ I've looked at debian stable repository, its revision is 3.4.5. You should have it by updating. You may have a problem with updating. What is your Debian version ? You may use "Synaptic" program to manage packages and repositories. <br/> On Thu, Oct 13, 2011 at 4:24 PM, Fridolyn SOMERS <fridolyn.somers@gmail.com>wrote:

David the patch for bug 6713 was added in version 3.05.00.008 if you are running 3.05.00.011 - you *have* that patch, (as i keep saying over and over)

Mason, You are correct. We are using DEV. But you knew that already. :) Most of my apt.sources was pointing to the stable packages. The last line, the koha line, was pointing to dev. I missed that. However, we are still not able to import duplicates. I'm working around it manually in SQL and it seems to be doing the trick. I don't know enough about the MARC side to know if there are errors in our records, but from the little I know, it certainly looks like they are ok. Clearly there is a dependent field somewhere we are not looking. For now, I'm just doing an insert into the items table with a copy of the record with the same biblio number as the copy 1. I just replace the copy number and the barcode number. That seems to have worked for us with the exception that the number of copies in the master record does not seem to be updating on its own. It looks like it updates after some interaction. I couldn't find which table "copies available" was in. But that is a minor point. We are in business and that is the main thing.
