Hi Marcel, Many thanks for the offer - gratefully accepted. I've got 3.8 loaded in the sandbox at the moment, and could find time to try out the patches. On the related matter of a German Z39.50, I can connect to z3950.gbv.de, but have failed to find which exact db to connect to (there are a lot of them at <http://uri.gbv.de/database/>) - does anyone happen to use GBV? I've just had a look through Bug 6536 and got a little bit lost in exactly when it might be "operational."

We have some 2,000 German biblios to catalogue, and (after corresponding with Deutsche Nationalbibliothek who only use SRU and have decommissioned their Z39.50 server) are wondering whether to try and catalogue manually (we have no native German speaking cataloguer), wait for Bug 6536, or find another German Z39.50 (which is proving a tad challenging.)

Thoughts anyone?
