If you have more up to date 3.22 files I suggest that you upload them to 3.22/fr_CA and we can repeat the procedure
Do not upload 3.22 files to 16.05, as you said new strings will be lost.

These are not the final strings yet, but expect not too much change until we reach string freeze.
