[Koha-translate] how to avoid translating something that must not be translated ?

Hi, I just read Katrin Fisher's answer about Koha error 500 : " The problem is that something got translated that should not have been, like a piece of code." I'm member of the french translation team and, sometimes, I don't know if I translating a string won't have any negative consequences : breaking something (koha) or making it incomprehensible (koha-manual). Names of tables or columns, but also codes / names in the installer component, for example Is there anyway to alert on strings (or strings parts) that mustn't be translated ?
