We have now managed to install the Danish 3.4 translations on our own system. While working with the system, I now find some errors - typos or mistakes, which become clear, when I see the string in the right context. How is the best way to make corrections? How do you do it?
The problem is that Pootle has no search-function. So I thought I would rather make it in poedit - agree?
If you haven't too many modifications, you should rather do it directly in Pootle: - Go here: http://translate.koha-community.org - Click on 3.4 - Select your language - Click on one .po file name - On the top right search box, enter the terms you're looking for - You arrive on a string containing this term - Edit it - Click on Next link, below your translated string: you will go to the next string containing the term
When I have made a number of these corrections, I would then like to upload them. I just did that with OPAC, and it seemed to work fine. I selected the po-file from my own computer, selected that it should be combines with the existing file and that it should be uploaded as OPAC. Afterwards I just had to approve the changes.
Then I tried to do the same with the staff-po, but nothing happens?
Koha staff .po file is such a large file that Pootle just can't merge a new one with the existing one. I gave you admin permission. Now, if you want, you can upload your staff .po file and ask to replace the existing one. This way, it will work. Regards, -- Frédéric DEMIANS http://www.tamil.fr/u/fdemians.html

I'll do that, somehow i simply had not understood the search function - sometimes I really should read a manual ;-)

+1 If you're a team of translators, you have to coordinate, and Pootle could be the right tool for that, but not necessarily... -- Frédéric DEMIANS http://www.tamil.fr/u/fdemians.html
