Also, from Francine @ SRGM, 

In each record, the subject headings have dashes separating all subfields, e.g.
Art, Modern--20th century--Spain.  When a subfield is entirely dates (normally
$d, also $e) there shouldn't be a dash in front of it.  Rather it should
display as such: Rebay, Hilla, 1890-1967.
