Now that bug 23354 has been pushed to master, could you take a look at the
template included for a RECEIPT slipt for the Point Of Sale receipts and
confirm that would conform to the data you're looking for in the default slip
here too..

If so, I can create a patch to correct that for new installs.. I think the
reason we didn't add such a slip during the change to slips was to preserve
existing receipt look and feel during upgrades.
