The results from this appear to be: 1 in favor, 0 opposed. I consider
this a landslide victory!

I've opened up bug 2524 to track the changes I make for this.

to get the Makefile patched today. Then, I'll work on making our test
suite a little more standard so that the test reports are more
accurate.
