Please note that Sun Microsystems just bought MySql AB (since your
first mail, even).

So if you have to pick a database to run on Solaris, you can now
expect mysql to be perfectly well supported by Sun (amongst many 3rd
parties).  And you know, all that money you'll save on the Oracle
license you can send back in to the Koha project.  :)
