Only to the point that supporting UNIMARC/MARC21 NoZebra, DOM Zebra, GRS1
Zebra _and_ Solr would probably make the users list even more interesting
than it is now. I think we should either make one of the search engines so
easy to install that NoZebra is not needed (offering the other as a more
complex and maybe more capable option), or settle on Solr.

The situation is already confused with the DOM/GRS1 and
MARC21/UNIMARC/everything else splits. Offering yet another choice might
seem like a good tradeoff now, but it would drain off yet more time to
troubleshoot bugs and offer support.

Besides, this could be a long-awaiting chance to finally get rid of Zebra.
The obfuscated code and quirky architecture make adding features and
troubleshooting problems incredibly difficult, among other problems. If Solr
is genuinely better, why keep Zebra?

</rant>,
