Thanks for the reply. :)  i dont think thats it.  The kohaadmin email we are using is a library email address and the user record was a non- library related individual user.

Keep the thoughts coming! This is the last hurdle then I won't be bugging y'all ... And maybe I can help someone!

Are these messages patron update emails? I wonder if you're testing the patron update notification with an account that has the same email address as your admin user, thus it *looks* like the to and from are the same. What's really happening, I think (totally not sure! At all!) is that it's sending the notice FROM the patron's user entered address, TO the koha admin email, which happen to be the same.

Plausible?

It looks like koha is using the admin address (KohaAdminEmailAddress) for both.

I am wondering if there is a configuration setting we are missing.
