[Koha-devel] Is Indexdata's Zebra a dead project?

I would say it's time to start thinking about alternatives/further
encourage the adoption of elastic search and clean up the search code in
general.

I still have a, perhaps misguided, fondness for zebra. I'm not sure Koha
has always used it to its strengths and it certainly has its own issues..
but it is significantly lighter weight to run and has a place as a genuine
alternative to the rather heavy elasticsearch.. I'd love to see a
lightweight option replace zebra as an option one day but I don't think
it's a priority quit yet..might be worth some experimenting though given
its dwindling support higher up the river.

Just my two pennies,

Martin
