[Koha-translate] Koha-translate Digest, Vol 110, Issue 1

Hello friends,

I must say that I find it ironic to have two Arabic translation files and a specific Egyptian code for Egyptian Arabic when the current Arabic files are made by an Egyptian translator who has been working since 2008 with Koha, and reviewed and used by Egyptian librarians all over during the past 8 years or so.

Adding another Arabic language code and files will add nothing but confusion in my view. Therefore, I vote for No No. Not again please! I have experienced the agony of multiple Arabic code pages during the last 25 years, and already seen where this duplication is leading to.

We will be more than happy to share the Arabic glossary for Arabic Koha with our friends at Arabnewtech if they want to review and suggest changes to the terms used. Just do Not confuse the Arabic users please.

Thanks,
Massoud.
