[Koha-win32] Regarding a Windows installation of Koha

Hello,

Thanks to everyone for their help!

I reinstalled MySQL 4.1 to get the records to start showing up, and switched
the theme to npl, which is a much slicker theme and has a much
easier-to-follow interface layout. So now things are looking good, and I'm
learning how to customize Koha.

By the way, if the Health Services Academy implements Koha, it will be the
first implementation of it in Pakistan, though the renowned Ms. Atifa Rawan
and others are already working on various Koha implementations in
neighbouring Afghanistan, and I think India is using Koha in several
libraries. The National Library of Pakistan and the Higher Education
Commission are using Virtua by VTLS, but it's far too expensive for an
autonomous department of the Ministry of Health here.

Personally I am really liking Koha, and hope that we can do a Koha rollout
by January. I do want to see if a Koha extension for Joomla! is possible to
develop -- there is already an OpenBiblio extension for Joomla!, but Koha is
a much more fully-featured ILS than OpenBiblio. I look forward to hearing
more from the members of this and other Koha mailing lists!

Best regards,
Nehdia Sameen
