[Koha-win32] Koha v2.2.7 Z39.50 Problem

Dear all,
Good news is that Koha 2.2.7 is now Z39.50 compatible and can snatch
records from a number of z3950 servers (with support of Yaz 2.1.40/42).
But it works only when my computer is connected directly to Internet
(Diap-up/ Broadband etc.). My experience shows that the same is not
working when the machine (where koha installed) is connected to Internet
via a proxy server.
Can any one help?

Thanks for kind guidance. Rebooting worked for setting connection to
z3950 server (LoC) through Koha (although the reason is quite
strange). Anyway, if my Koha server is under a proxy server the what
is the way to achieve success in connecting z3950 servers? Any
suggestions?

Hi Partha,
Did you reboot after adding yaz to your path? I know you are on
XP and I can't explain it, but I continued to get the exact error
you are getting after adding yaz to my path UNTIL I rebooted.
Once I rebooted, the error went away.
I assume you added the complete path, C:\Program Files\yaz\bin to
your path, and not just yaz/bin/? I'm sure you did, but asked in
case someone else reads this list.
Let me know if a reboot fixes it.

Are you behind a firewall or proxy? I'm not sure, but it
seems like you are making the initial connection to the
loc server, but that data coming back from the server is
being blocked.
I am attaching a copy of my error log with the lines from
a successful query. I'm not sure why, but you'll get
entries in your intranet-error.log even for a successful
query. When I compare my log to yours, the first line
that is different is the (receive data) line. I think you
are connecting and sending data, but not getting anything
back. Do you have any kind of personal firewall or other
security software that might be blocking the return data?
Some of the newer security software that blocks worms and
trojans might think that yaz is a bad boy.
I do have my Windows XP firewall turned on. The only
exception is for the Apache HTTP server. My Z39.50 query
works with those settings.
