https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41282 --- Comment #15 from Andrii Nugged <nugged@gmail.com> --- For the waiting-hold case discussed in comments 8-10, bug 41809 now has a patch implementing the persistent staff workflow: when the patron checks out another item from the same record, it keeps the waiting hold linked to the pickup-shelf item and adds a cancellation request instead of filling that hold with the checked-out item. The item then appears in Holds with cancellation requests until staff processes it. The existing fill behavior for non-waiting holds is unchanged. Bug 41282 remains relevant to the separate checkout alert and other states such as an item in transit.
