I'd never heard the term "stage" in that sense before working with Koha and git and I feel like it's very developer-oriented. In short, not a fan of "Stage". As for the Import term, to me it makes sense. You get the record from the other catalog and import it in the editor to make it yours. Like Aude, I never not save the record after I import it. If you cancel, then it's not imported. If we absolutely have to change it, I'd go with Choose, like when we "Choose" an authority.
