+1 on name and file extension change ; I see the same function is labeled as a "MARC" download in the OPAC.
I've filed a new bug so we can keep this one open for the list: Bug 41885 - Rename iso2709 download option for lists in staff to MARC matching OPAC
I also had errors in MARCEdit with 2 of the 3 lists I downloaded with this feature, although the same sets extracted via Export Catalog Data were accepted into MARCEdit just fine. This means something is different with this means of extraction. If I can ID what the difference is, I will enter a separate bug on that.
If you have an example record where that happens, it would be helpful to have the working and non-working files on a bug report. That could help identify the issue.
I am still in favor of a list option in Export Catalog Data. For staff who do a lot of exporting, this is their regular workflow, and it allows the use of the various export options available there.
