For example, adding the 'ocn' prefix to OCLC numbers in the advanced editor overwrites the first 3 digits of the OCLC number, causing you to reenter the data. When you add data anywhere within the 001 tag it replaces data that was already there leading to mistakes. We have to always remember to use the Insert key in this field in order to not type over stuff.
