What about 'On shelf' instead of available? and 'On hold' if the item is either on hold or 'waiting' (on the hold shelf)? Would that clear up that distinction?
I'd be satisfied with "on shelf." I don't think patrons need to see "waiting" in the OPAC, because the "waiting" status is really only relevant to the person for whom it is waiting.
