As it is checked out, you should not have found it on your shelves during inventory. If you have found (and "barcoded" it), it means it's no more checked out, so Koha automatically made the check-in. "item was on loan. couldn't be returned" Umm. Uh. What does this mean? It is supposed to never happen but it's here just in case : the item was checked out, Koha tried the check-in (see before), and could not technically do the check-in.
