This patch is to bring the packaging in line with what it needs to be
able to do for 3.4.

I'm in the process of making a build that will go in the squeeze-dev
repository, and would appreciate it if people could test it out for me
and let me know if they spot any issues.

Even better if you sign off on the patch :)

I'd love to get this in before 3.4.1 so that it can be properly
packaged.
