Hello all, something like 4 years ago, when doXulting wrote unimarc plugin templates, they did it in french. Nobody ever translated them to english, that's why they are still now in french even in english, and thus appear in the .po file. Fortunatly, there is an option in tmpl_process3.pl (the script that generate the strings file) Just add -x .*unimarc.* as parameter of tmpl_process3.pl and they are gone. Of course, you'll stay with unimarc strings in french in your language. but if you don't use unimarc, you don't care. On the long term, the best solution will be to translate those strings to english (& for us reintroduce them in french po file) HTH -- Paul POULAIN BibLibre SARL Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : 04 91 31 45 19

Could this be done before 3.0.? We want to translate it all (to Norwegian bokmål and Norwegian nynorsk) I have tried to take a look at the strings with my limited knowledge of French, but it would certainly be easier if they were converted to English :-) Best regards Axel bojer

I think I can do this, but how? English isn't listed on translate.koha.org and I think I need to coordinate with the french po file keeper. just "translate" (=modify) the templates on git (prog/en/cataloguing/value_builder/*unimarc*.tmpl) Hereafter i'll take care of the english => french translation in the .pl file. cheers -- Paul POULAIN BibLibre SARL Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : 04 91 31 45 19

(In Ukraine, Russia, Belarussia... widelly used local variants of Unimarc) -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/about-french-strings-in-.po-tp14707774p14781427.html Sent from the Koha - Translate mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

These strings are a french translation from english. I Think the best way is not to translate them, but to take the original files !! Cheers Pascale Nalon Bibliothèque de l'Ecole des Mines de Paris 35, rue St Honoré 77300 Fontainebleau Tel : 01 64 69 48 79
