Printing labels in other languages

Dear All Printing labels in Koha using the English language is very easy. Because the English language is the default language of Koha. Would anybody guide me to print labels in other languages like Arabic or Urdu? Regards! Rizwan

Hi all, Our catalogue primarily lists online resources but have noticed that only URLs with the prefix http are linking out correctly from the OPAC. Any records starting with 'https' or other are returning with an error message even though the URL is correct. Does anyone have any advice? Help with late serials report

Hello all, apologies in advance for a rather long email. We are trying to refine our late serials report and are having some problems with the results data. Our report returns 200 results but only 20 of the results have title and bib number information, the remaining results have no title or bib number (blank cells) and only serial sequence of the late issue, planned date, serial ID and subscription ID. By using the serial ID to trace back and examine the serials with missing title info I find that most of them are "closed" subs but a few are genuine "open" subs with late issues expected. I can find no problem with the bib record or sub record of these titles, so why are they not appearing in the report with title and bib number information? Here below is the SQL of the report; note that if I change the LEFT JOIN to simply JOIN the report returns only the 20 results with full title info, but what about the genuine results with missing title that do have late issues? Any suggestions most welcome. Hi Joy and Carlos, I was doing some bug tracker maintenance, and I found the issue that you describe with the colon. The problem is that the colon in this example search query "title : subtitle" is being converted into an equal sign, so that it becomes "title = subtitle". Koha uses semicolons to separate indexes and search terms, but Zebra uses equal signs for that same purpose. In Koha, you might see something like this: "ti:Title" or "au:AuthorName". Koha then converts that to "ti=Title" or "au=AuthorName" for Zebra. So when Zebra sees "title = subtitle", it generates an error and returns nothing back to Koha. That's why you don't see any search results. There are a variety of possible indexing setups, so your configuration can be an issue. Joy, when you make your searches with a colon, I'm guessing that you're doing something like the following: "title: subtitle", is that correct? That will cause problems because the ":" is a special character that separates an index and a search term. If you do an Advanced Search (especially with phrase searches), this is much less likely to be an issue. Hi Joy, What version of Koha are you using? Indexing and searching can be a complicated topic. I've been working on Koha for over 8 years, so I'm familiar with troubleshooting the backend systems, but that's likely too challenging to do remotely. You could look at Koha's Bugzilla issue tracker. Language codes

I'd like help with this please. I am working in a small theological library in Central Asia, where I isnstalled Koha over 4 years ago. Atthe time we did not add barcodes to the books, so my main task in my short visit this time is to oversee the barcode entry project. The librarian also needs to know how to create reports. The collection has three different langiage sections : Russian, Kyrgyz and English. She needs to be able to create reports of the number of books in each language. We have located Marc field 041 into which we have begun to type a 3 letter code for whichever language of the item. However when it comes to creating a report, there appears not to be a category in the list which corresponds to the language code in biblio. Is it possible to add a field to the reports list or enter the language code into a field which corresponds to an existing category in the reports creation list. Lynn Pryor lynntobias20(a)gmail.com
