If I change the path to: background="<TMPL_VAR NAME='themelang'>/images/background-mem.gif" I don't get the error. I don't know how many other places this particular path problem occurs, but there is a similar problem in intranet-main.tmpl for the holder.gif file. It hasnt had data stored in it. branchcode is the column that has it.
