The solution was to stop using those other date functions, because ParseDate(), DateCalc(), and format_date_in_iso() do not have compatible formats. ParseDate() doesn't output dashes, but format_date_in_iso() requires them. Some specifics are: Members cannot be added because required fields are not set (maybe only with MySQL 5) Members cannot login because various template variables are not set The reason is that there are two version of Auth.pm kept, one for LDAP and one without. The LDAP one has not been updated. Attached is an updated file that helps, but there is lots of duplication of code in these two files. It is possible to find the biblio only through searching with the name given in the authority's 100a tag, not the 400a tag; 2. Searching for the authority advises that the authority is used in '0 biblios'. It no longer seems to sort (it does sort them for display on the first page). Also, it appears that someone has changed the workflow, and some systempreferences aren't inserted, especially the Version one, unless you run updatedatabase ... this puts the user in a perpetual loop of running the installer, finishing, then running the installer again. updatedatabase has many warnings also, which will confuse the user.
