I used single quotes around the dates, but double quotes around the "as" bit. Changing those to single quotes fixed the partial SQL query text display. Your SQL contains double quotes, and the TMPL_VAR doesn't escape the quotes, breaking the HTML and resulting in the weird screen output. For example, if I use the SQL query SELECT COUNT(*) as "New Patrons" FROM borrowers WHERE borrowers.dateenrolled >= '2009-02-01' AND borrowers.dateenrolled <= '2009-02-28' the screen output looks like this: << < 1 2 3 ... 7 > >> New Patrons 138 Download the report: [pulldown for output option] = '2009-02-01' AND borrowers.dateenrolled <= '2009-02-28'" /> [download button] There are arrows and numbers for multiple pages, but the only page with output is the first, which has the new patron count. In addition, part of my SQL query is displaying on the bottom line, where the pulldown and button for downloading report results are. If I build the report from SQL and run without the "As New Patrons" qualifier: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM borrowers WHERE borrowers.dateenrolled >= '2009-02-01' AND borrowers.dateenrolled <= '2009-02-28' << < 1 2 3 ... 7 > >> COUNT(*) 138 the annoying multiple blank pages still shows, but it's not reproducing part of the SQL query on the download line. I've seen similar results with any query that does a sum or count. These parts are not recent additions, so it's not as if it's a change that hasn't made it onto our production system. Could something be different about the data prevent this from working? After searching for a patron from circulation the search results are displayed as a multiple select box. A recent change has introduced an automatic javascript-redirect when the user clicks an individual item on the list. This behavior breaks the UI expectations for multi-selects. Where a user might have previously been able to click on one entry and then use the mouse-wheel to scroll through the list, now they will be suddenly redirected to the wrong destination. My preference would be for the behavior to be reverted to its original state without the javascript redirect. If the redirect MUST be retained, the interface should be re-styled to give the user better expectations on its behavior. I suggest styling the select <option>s to appear as links with the same styling as other links in the interface.
