A library ran the catalog statistic wizard report and received thousands of items in the NULL category. Joe ran the query on their database and saw that only a dozen items had a NULL itemtype. If someone choses one of the filters they have to way to set it back to not filtering. A database update, at least, would be required to fix this properly I think.
