Sip working ok for days (weeks even) then suddenly the server refuses to accept connections. Restarting sip does not always rectify (immediately) the problem. Suggests the socket gets stuffed (technical term covering a number of possible error conditions). A rare occurence and not easily repeatable. They work, but do not handle errors very well, and often cannot recover after an error happens. The scripts should be made robust. The latter one is, I feel, misnamed: it does not allow browsing in the normal sense. Instead, it is another kind of advanced search. A proper browsing feature would allow you to click on lists of subjects, and get lists of books in those subjects. The current one requires you to know suitable search words, which you might not have at all. In physical libraries (and bookstores), one of the most pleasurable things is to randomly walk and see what kinds of books there are, and what subjects there are, rather than look for a specific book. "Browse by subject" currently does not support that. It would be nice if it did. But that's a different thing. This happens both when the barcode is checked in and when the hold queue report is generated. Preferred behavior (open for discussion, of course) would be for damaged status to disallow reserves on items marked "Damaged," similar to items with a "Missing" status (though missing clears the status on checkin, we would NOT want that behavior for Damaged. Uploading it works fine, but the processing was terminating with a progress of NaN% (see attached screenshot). The file has about 360 returns in it. I split it into two files, with about 180 returns in each. The first one got through ok, but the second one resulted in NaN% several times. When the process has terminated with NaN% my session seems to be terminated to, and I have to log in again.
