The view in the screenshot you attached is of a batch of records that has already been imported. If your batch has been staged but not yet imported you won't see a link in the "bib" column. On RenewSubscription the system updates the subscription start_date but leaves the historical start date. Noticed on a site running a few patches not yet pushed to head that the problem does not appear to manifest.
