Commands end with ; or \g. 107 Your MySQL connection id is 22 108 Server version: 5.0.51a-24 (Debian) 109 110 Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer. 111 112 mysql> grant all on <kohadatabasename>.* to '<kohadatabaseuser>'@'localhost' identified by '<kohadatabaseuserpassword>'; 113 Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) 114 115 mysql> flush privileges; 116 Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) Speaking as a not overly experienced Linux user, I think this would be slightly easier to understand: -------------------------------------------------------- $ mysql -u root -p Enter password: Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Type '\c' to clear the buffer. mysql> create database <kohadatabasename>; mysql> grant all on <kohadatabasename>.* to '<kohadatabaseuser>'@'localhost' identified by '<kohadatabaseuserpassword>'; Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) mysql> flush privileges; Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) -------------------------------------------------------- This would: - avoid the constrct -uroot, which might be mistaken for a long option with one dash - use the mysql command for everything, and not drag mysqladmin into it - avoid putting the password on the commandline and thence potentially into the output of commands like top and ps, and the bash history file Opinions? In situations with load balancers or other proxies, the REMOTE_ADDRESS will be the proxy address rather than the client address. In order to handle proxied clients (or any clients when behind a load balancer), Koha needs to use the X-Forwarded-For header to identify the ultimate client. This problem can be seen by configuring Koha to listen on 127.0.0.1 and setting up a Squid proxy with the following configuration options on the same server: # BEGIN SQUID CONFIGURATION # The next two lines must go at the top of the squid configuration file: http_port ${PUBLIC_IP}:80 accel defaultsite=${YOUR_DOMAIN} vhost cache_peer 127.0.0.1 parent 80 0 no-query originserver name=myAccel # The next four lines must go AFTER the line "acl CONNECT method CONNECT acl our_sites dstdomain .${YOUR_DOMAIN} http_access allow our_sites cache_peer_access myAccel allow our_sites cache_peer_access myAccel deny all # END SQUID CONFIGURATION If you view the session log after connecting via ${PUBLIC_IP}:80, you will see an entry for 127.0.0.1. If you've chosen a DATE column it displays date limiters, if you've chosen a VARCHAR column it shows a <select> of choices. If you choose a TEXT column you'll get a free text input to specify the comparison. However, the script doesn't check for MEDIUMTEXT.
