If AcqCreateItem is set to "receiving an order" or "placing an order", you might want to know if the item you're receiving can fill a bib-level hold (i.e. "the next available item"). The problem is that the Content-Type isn't set to text/html, which means that the generated html email isn't displayed properly. The purpose of the suggestion is to make koha more flexible as it regards Z39.50 targets' encoding. >From what I can see in http://search.cpan.org/~mirk/Net-Z3950-ZOOM/lib/ZOOM.pod, the calling application (koha in our case ?) has to set the encoding conversion, and ZOOM forwards it in turn to the called YAZ module (as per http://www.indexdata.com/yaz/doc/zoom.records.html) YAZ in turn is supposed to be "a wrapper for the library system call iconv. But YAZ' iconv utility also implements conversions on its own" (as per http://www.indexdata.com/yaz/doc/yaz.pdf and http://www.gnu.org/savannah-checkouts/gnu/libiconv/documentation/libiconv-1. 13/iconv.1.html). In other words, besides marc8, marc8s, marc8lossy, marc8lossless, utf8, iso8859-1, iso5426, iso5428:1984, advancegreek and danmarc, encodings that it natively supports, YAZ is supposed to be able to handle all the encodings supported by iconv. WINDOWS-1258, WINSAMI2, WS2, YU It seems therefore that the only change needed is to add the encoding labels above to the list that koha presents in the Z39.50 target edit page. I understand that the list of koha-supported encodings is currently hard-coded in the koha code. My request is that it would be moved to a table in the db, pre-populated with the encodings mentioned above. The koha admin could then select one of the preset values when editing a Z39.50 target, OR enter an encoding string of his/her choice, that would be quoted/passed-on to the underlying layers. For example, I should be able to select "Windows-1253" or "ISO-8859-7", but I should also be able to enter "ISO 8859-7:2003", and koha would happily and simply use this as the string describing source encoding when constructing queries or receiving result sets. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I have imported a "fresh" record using the Z39.50 search. I grabbed the "Linux Journal" record from the LC Z39.50 server. I have connected to Koha's Z39.50 server using the following command: yaz-client -c /etc/koha/zebradb/ccl.properties localhost:9999/biblios I run the command find linux and then show. I get a record that returns &lt and &gt, etc. instead of <, >, etc. This also happens when I connect to Koha's Z39.50 server using TLC's Cataloging module.
