Simply because koha-run-backups call koha-dump which always dump to backupdir in Koha config file. This envisaged enhancement would add the ability to define very simple string manipulations to an attribute in the koha config file. Use case: Given an academic institution, such a place may have rather differing information on record for students as opposed to staff. I've had instances where the mapping between attributes and koha fields has differed wildly between these two groups. Given the there is probably an attribute that can differentiate between the two, then we should be able to use that to load a set of mapping specific to that usergroup. This is a 3.18.3 installation with current templates. The Javascript errors shown in Firebug are very unspecific - I haven't been able yet to find the source of the problem.
