[Bug 23332] New: Debian package koha-common 18.05.14-1 has a dependency on libperl5.24 which is not available for Ubuntu Bionic 18.04
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23332 Bug ID: 23332 Summary: Debian package koha-common 18.05.14-1 has a dependency on libperl5.24 which is not available for Ubuntu Bionic 18.04 Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 18.05 Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: P5 - low Component: Packaging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: ian.gordon(a)strath.ac.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: mirko(a)abunchofthings.net I am trying to upgrade koha using the debian package koha-common 18.05.14-1 package on Ubuntu 18.04. I get the following error: The following packages have unmet dependencies. koha-common : Depends: libperl5.24 but it is not installable Depends: perl-modules-5.24 but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. Ubuntu Bionic uses libperl5.26. The previous version of the package koha-common 18.05.13-1 did not have this dependency on libperl5.24 (I also note that the current 19.05.01-1 package does NOT have a dependency on libperl5.24 and therefore installs fine) Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Thanks, Ian Gordon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 10486] Allow external Z39.50 targets to be searched from the OPAC
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '19

22 Sep '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10486 --- Comment #111 from Katrin Fischer <katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de> --- Without looking at the other bug report closely I can say that Jessie and Zeno are no longer working on Koha, so this might need to be adopted to move forward. If there is a similar bug with people willing to push it forward, this one might stay orphaned. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 8838] Digest option for HOLD notice
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Sep '19

21 Sep '19

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8838 --- Comment #5 from koha-US bug tracker <bugzilla(a)koha-us.org> --- I agree that the hold available notice should be digestable if possible. The situation we have in our consortium is that patrons place requests on many titles held by other libraries. Those libraries ship materials to the requesting library via our courier system. When a box of materials arrives at the requesting library and there are 10 items in it that are all on hold for the same patron, those 10 items will all get checked in at the same time. We have our system set to send hold available notices every 15 minutes, so what usually happens is that 15 minutes after a courier delivery, a patron who has requested 10 items from other libraries will get 10 SMS messages or 10 e-mails all at the exact same time. I've seen this happen with as many as 30 messages sent simultaneously. Patrons don't like getting 30 text messages all at once and if the messages are sent via e-mail in that high a quantity, they usually end up in the patron's spam folder. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
