If this is available the data entry part of the publishercode will be very uniform throughout the cataloging entries. I could not find this option any where hence posting it here. Steps: 1. Create a course (make sure it is active) 2. In sys pref: OPAChiddenItems set items that are withdrawn to be hidden 'withdrawn: [1] 2. Add an item 3. Make that item withdrawn. 4. Go to the OPAC- that item is visible in the course. 5. Click the title of the withdrawn item, get a 404 error.
