Patrons have told us that they would like to limit their searches to titles based on whether they are for adults, teens or children. The target audience is contained in the 008 tag in position 22. MARC breaks down the audience more finely than just adults, teens and children (as shown below) If it were possible to allow libraries to configure the facets so as to combine several of the codes into a group, such as code 'a' and 'b', to be displayed as 'children' that would be very useful to our patrons. # - Unknown or not specified a - Preschool Children, approximate ages 0-5 years. b - Primary Children, approximate ages 6-8 years. c - Pre-adolescent Young people, approximate ages 9-13. d - Adolescent Young people, approximate ages 14-17. e - Adult Item is intended for adults. f - Specialized g - General j - Juvenile (Children and young people, approximate ages 0-15 years. We provide a lot of canned searches to point them to our newest items. But when they do an author or subject search it would be helpful to them to have a 'date added' feature in the facets in the OPAC to allow them to zero in on materials added within the past xxx number of days. However, now there are only 3 keywords. When I use a 20.11.05. version, e.g. https://kohaopac.alingsas.se/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl I can use the browser “go back one page” option and all keywords are still there. However, in our 20.11.06 version at https://bibliotek.vti.se/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl we get the same disappointing result using the "Return to the last advanced search" or the "back one page". I have not tested to setup Koha showing more than three keywords by default. If that is a fix it is still not a real fix since both of the options "Return to ..." or "Go back ..." should be working. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

We should explicitly state that this entirely blocks self checkout via the Koha selfcheck (and possibly also via SIP, I need to test that). It's vaguely implied as-is, since by definition there's no staff member present at the selfcheck to perform that override, but an explicit statement would be much clearer.
