Please ensure that staff are informed or disable the modification functionality in the opac until such time as this can be facilitated. Staff should be alerted, by e-mail and by an alert status/list when they log in when a patron has modified a request. If this is not possible the option should be there to turn off this functionality. Changes need to be notified to staff so that the correct materials are sourced and duplicate requests and request costs are not incurred by the library. Incorrect requests may be submitted, then modified. Staff may have already processed the request for the first request, thus increasing the workload for the staff member, and necessitating the processing of essentially a second request and the encumbrance of the associated fees. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. I propose that we either make this method more generic, perhaps, plugin_js, so it can reasonably be used for JS for either the OPAC or intranet, or we add an intranet_js method for embedding JS in plugins that touch the staff client. I suspect there's a use case for a plugin wanting to return different JS for the OPAC and staff client, so the latter idea might be preferable. The inspiration for this proposal is the CLA Check Permissions plugin (Bug 20968), the current workflow is a bit clunky with the button on the Bib toolbar taking the user to a page generated by the plugin, on which the main Javascript is run, opening a modal. The plugin has no use for the additional page, but is necessary to run the Javascript. To reproduce: 1. Add an active budget of $1,000 2. Attach a fund of $900 3. In Acquisitions, add an order to a basket, give it a vendor price of $500 with no discount and Save 4. Modify the order and change the vendor price to $450. Save the order 5. Notice the warning that we'll exceed the allowed budget, even though this is the only order using this fund and it does not exceed $900.
