[Bug 8589] Advanced Search for itemtype and location produces some results that are not useful
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Aug '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8589 --- Comment #5 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- (In reply to Katrin Fischer from comment #4) > (In reply to David Cook from comment #3) > > Is this still an issue? > > Yes, because items are not treated individually in search. What I should've said is that I don't understand the problem. Although as I write that out... I think that I understand now. The problem is that one item fulfils one criterium of the search query and a different item fulfils another criterium of the search query, so overall the search query gets the hit, but the hit doesn't include an item that fulfils all the criteria. Yeah that's interesting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 9936] SIP2 should work with LDAP and CAS
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Aug '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9936 --- Comment #7 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- (In reply to David Cook from comment #6) > Looking at this spring implementation of CAS, it looks like it works similar > to SAML and OIDC as I said in regard to the browser redirection: > https://docs.spring.io/spring-security/site/docs/3.1.4.RELEASE/reference/cas. > html So technically I think it's impossible for the SIP server to use CAS. But adding CAS auth to self-checkout interface could be interesting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

Some libraries ask for > the password at the self checks to avoid abuse of lost cards. LDAP and Shibboleth/SAML are totally different though. I'm not familiar with CAS, but I imagine it probably works similar to SAML and OIDC in that it requires browser redirection, which needs to happen client-side. LDAP, on the other hand, happens all server-side. So LDAP is easy to do on a SIP server, but you couldn't do SAML/OIDC (and maybe CAS) on the SIP server. Alex and I have been talking about SAML for the self checkout at bug 30444. It gets complicated... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 8993] LDAP authentication improvements: multiple branch and transformation modules

We > could reset it to 'NEW' maybe? Hopefully bug 31378 could pave a path to making it easier to add multiple LDAP providers. I don't think I have any Koha clients using LDAP but it's not particularly complicated. With LDAP you get back a directory record, with OIDC you get a list of claims, with SAML you get a list of attributes. They're all amenable to the same type of mapping mechanism. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 8881] Tool to purge action logs
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Aug '22

22 Aug '22

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8881 David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |dcook(a)prosentient.com.au --- Comment #1 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- "misc/cronjobs/cleanup_database.pl" can already do this. However, it could be interesting to have a BackgroundJob in the staff interface that lets a library admin delete old action logs. Seems like it's more of a job for a lower level sysadmin though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
