If a value is set from a worker, it will not be available from other workers as the Cache::Memory instance is not shared (of course!) However, there isn't an option to only look at items with no lost status. We should have a "Skip lost items" checkbox, as we have "Skip items on loan" and "Skip items on hold awaiting pickup." Have a multibranch system where holds can transfer between 2 or more libraries 2. Have a bib with 2 or more items at different branches. 3. At Branch A checkout Branch A's copy of the item to a patron 4. At Branch B place a record level hold for a Branch B patron (where branch b has a copy of the item available on the shelf) 5. Return Branch A's book at Branch A. It fills the hold for Branch B patron In some cases this makes the patron wait much longer for a hold. It would be great if there was a way to set holds not to fill from other libraries if there was a copy available at the pickup location. Some consortiums have branches that only get deliveries once or twice a week. If they happen to check in an item that could be filled at the pickup branch before the pickup branch scans the hold there, it could take much longer for the patron to get the item. For example, Title A is available at both Library D and Library E. The patron wants to pickup the item at Library D. Library D is closed Saturday and Sunday, but Library E is not. Currently, the item could potentially show on Library E's hold queue. Since it takes three days of transit time to move the item from Library E to Library D, it would be faster to fill the hold from Library D, but because it was moved off Library D's queue, it won't be filled there. It would be nice to be able to specify by Library how long an item will appear on the holds queue for that library before it is moved, and the item is sent from another library. To reproduce: 1) Go to Tools > HTML customisations 2) Create a new entry, specify a library, and give it an expiration date of yesterday (or earlier) 3) Then go to the OPAC and look at the Libraries page (cgi-bin/koha/opac-library.pl?branchcode=XXXXX). The news item will still be visible. 4) Also, if you do a catalogue search for an item in that library, look at the holdings in the search result, and in the Current and Home Library columns, an (I) information alert will show which when clicked will still show the expired news item. LibreOffice doesn't show the issue. The only way to fix it right now is not to open the file directly, but to use the import functionality in Excel as it lets you pick the encoding and separators. This means a lot of extra steps and clicks, which make the CSV export functionalities in Koha hard to use. It turns out that Excel will import the CSV correctly, if we convert the encoding of the exported CSV file from UTF-8 to UTF-8-BOM. Problematic CSV exports include: * Exporting a basket summary page as CSV * Using CSV profile based exports in general, including: lists, basket, lost items report * ... A better approach would be to allow the "Place request with partners" option to be selected even when this action has already taken place. This will allow the user to try multiple partners subsequently.
