If you have high numbers in these system preferences, your search results are going to get very slow, and your browser may actually struggle to render the large quantity of HTML. At a glance, we actually look up these sysprefs in more places than you'd think... and since we use the "preference" function, we don't have an existing way of doing sanity checks (either at setting time or getting time). -- I'd say the options look like building sanity checks into the "preference" function, starting a Koha::Search object that can be used for getting search information, or adding something into our current search classes (although that might be too heavy weight for some contexts). -- Due to the volume of system preferences, obviously adding sanity checks to all system preferences could get unwieldy. This can drastically increase the number of queries going to the DB. Out of the box, numSearchResults and OPACnumSearchResults are set to 20, but an admin can set it much higher. I was monitoring a long running search requests where numSearchResults was set to 1000, and many of the queries I saw were from this one function. That said, I didn't get a chance to look at the actual execution time for these queries. Considering what the queries are, chances are most of the time was lost on the "items" and "reserves" table. However, it never hurts to reduce DB queries, especially when the volume of queries increases with the volume of search results. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. Create a notice with styling options. Be sure to assign the notice to the reports module. 2. Create a report for the notice. 3. Run the report and then run with template. >From here it is confusing to know how to print the report. The option is to Download the rendered report. The language used here does not lead the user to know that they can print the rendered report. The process requires downloading the report, opening it with the browser, and then print. It would be nice to offer a Download PDF option right up front. A PDF is a known file format that users know can be printed. This is done for spine labels and table export options. In 'Koha administration > System preferences', set 'LocalCoverImages' to 'show' and OPACLocalCoverImages to 'show'. 3. Create a new bibligraphical record 4. In the record details select tab Images and click on upload 5. click on « Drop files here » and select the image file to upload then click «Process images» 6. Search for the record created on step 3 7. Click on the record to view detail page (detail.pl) 8. Click on the image to view it fully --->Notice the background is transparent 9.
