[Bug 21955] New: Cache::Memory should not be used as L2 cache
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Mar '25

18 Mar '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=21955 Bug ID: 21955 Summary: Cache::Memory should not be used as L2 cache Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: ASSIGNED Severity: critical Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: jonathan.druart(a)bugs.koha-community.org Reporter: jonathan.druart(a)bugs.koha-community.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org If Plack is running with several workers we must not use Cache::Memory as L2 cache. If a value is set from a worker, it will not be available from other workers as the Cache::Memory instance is not shared (of course!) Moreover we now have Koha::Cache::Memory::Lite that does the same job, so we should not expect performance regressions by removing it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 10060] Allow adding a branch parameter to the web-based self check to indicate library its used at

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10060 --- Comment #40 from David Cook <dcook(a)prosentient.com.au> --- (In reply to Christopher Brannon from comment #39) > (In reply to Katrin Fischer from comment #37) > > I wonder if using separate "OPAC views" and the system preference overwrite > > would also be an approach as a possible workaround? > > Could you elaborate? I'm not sure I understand. :) Thanks. She's referring to this: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Override_sysprefs_in_Apache_config It looks like the wiki actually already has a self checkout example even. Basically, you'd need a different subdomain for each self checkout, and then configure Apache to change sysprefs based on the different subdomains. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In theory, I think that could work. It would require a fair bit of sysadmin work, but that does sound like a feasible workaround in the meantime. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 39327] New: UTF-8 BOM missing from label creator CSV and some UTF-8 output broken
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Mar '25

18 Mar '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39327 Bug ID: 39327 Summary: UTF-8 BOM missing from label creator CSV and some UTF-8 output broken Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Label/patron card printing Assignee: cnighswonger(a)foundations.edu Reporter: dcook(a)prosentient.com.au QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The CSV created by the label creator can't be easily opened by Excel as UTF-8 data. If we add the UTF-8 BOM, then it will open it as UTF-8 data. Hurray! Although in some cases I've noticed UTF-8 data in Koha is being exported seemingly as Latin-1 data. The problem appears to be with the Text::CSV_XS library not properly noticing that it's UTF-8. If we explicitly set the binmode to UTF-8, we can fix that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've collaborated with them on a library or two, and they even had a table set up at Kohacon2024 in Montreal. [Bug 27923] New: Inventory tool should be able to skip lost items
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 17 Mar '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27923 Bug ID: 27923 Summary: Inventory tool should be able to skip lost items Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Tools Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org In the inventory tool, the "Optional filters for inventory list or comparing barcodes" section allows one to filter results to only consider items with certain lost values. However, there isn't an option to only look at items with no lost status. We should have a "Skip lost items" checkbox, as we have "Skip items on loan" and "Skip items on hold awaiting pickup." If a library is reasonably sure that their lost items will not be on the shelf, they should have the option to just not interact with them in inventory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 39364] New: Items that cannot be renewed should not renew with same due date when selected for renewal
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 17 Mar '25

17 Mar '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39364 Bug ID: 39364 Summary: Items that cannot be renewed should not renew with same due date when selected for renewal Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kkrueger(a)cuyahogalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com We have certain item types with 0 renewals allowed in their circ rules. When a staff member selects these for renewal from a patron's checkout table or they are re-processed via offline circulation, the items are marked as "renewed" with the same due date. To replicate: 1. Set up a non-renewable item type in the circ rules. 2. Check out an item from that item type. 3. From the patron checkouts table in the related patron's account, select all and renew all. 4. The item that could not be renewed will now show a due date of today instead of the future due date it listed previously. I understand that having the AllowTooManyOverride set to allow may conflict. However, the ideal behavior in the use cases outlined above would be that the item would not attempt to renew, keeping the original due date. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
