[Bug 38345] New: Remove support for OpenSearch
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38345 Bug ID: 38345 Summary: Remove support for OpenSearch Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching - Elasticsearch Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Truth is our test suite has been exploding consistently when trying to launch OpenSearch: * https://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_Main_OS2/ * https://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_Main_OS1/ This has some precedent discussion on [issue 429](https://gitlab.com/koha-community/koha-testing-docker/-/issues/429) in `KTD` project issues. We are not going to remove it, I guess. But some noise is needed as people using OpenSearch in production don't seem to care we are not being able to run the test suite, so probably promising some 'OpenSearch support' that we cannot guarantee in any way. And if there's a problem with OpenSearch, we (devs) cannot launch a working environment to fix/test. My two cents on this matter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 38368] New: Background jobs: Batch item record deletion to list failed/succeeded items
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38368 Bug ID: 38368 Summary: Background jobs: Batch item record deletion to list failed/succeeded items Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: hanna.ikonen(a)sivistys.mikkeli.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Currently background jobs do not list on visible record the items which have been handled. This causes issues especially when the background job fails, for example in batch item record deletion. Trying to solve which items have been worked with, you need to use several different reports. That means a lot of work hours, especially if, for example, the failed background job contains a lot of deleted items. My proposition is, that the background job -list would show which items were handled in the background whether it has failed or not. It would also be helpful if it showed information why it has failed/which item has caused the failure. It would standardize the information/notification system with the other batch processing jobs which list the things that have been worked on. To test: 1. Go to Administration and click Manage Jobs. 2. Select Status as "Failed" and Type "Batch item record deletion". 3. Open a failed background job. 4. Report only lists the job as failed, while "Detailed messages" is empty”. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 34166] New: Show total price in table of suggestions
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=34166 Bug ID: 34166 Summary: Show total price in table of suggestions Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org For determining if a suggestion is accepted the price can play a big role. Sometimes libraries will have a separate custom status for items that need to wait for available funds. It would be great if Koha showed the total price of the suggestion in the table. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 33712] New: Use new checkout api's for staff client checkouts

Once those are both pushed we should eat our own dogfood and consider updating the staff client workflows to use these API's instead of relying on the full page reloads we currently do. [Bug 40391] New: Add support for EDI LSL field
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40391 Bug ID: 40391 Summary: Add support for EDI LSL field Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org More recent versions of the EDIFACT EDItEUR/BiC profiles added support for an LSL (Library sub-location) field. This new field would allow people to 'have their cake and eat it' with regards to location + collection handling. Currently, we have the `EdifactLSQ` system preference which allows you to set the 'GIR:LSQ' field content to map to either the Location or Collection for a Koha item. Adding 'GIR:LSL' parsing would allow us to support vendors passing both codes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 19316] New: Items should have sort1 and sort2 fields
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

We often find that libraries want extra information in their items table, things that don't fit or don't belong in any of the existing columns. Borrowers have sort1 and sort2 for this kind of information - we should add analogous fields to the items table -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 27115] New: Restarting koha-common fails to restart SIP2 server

[Bug 28308] New: Select 'Days in advance' = 0 for Advance notice effectively disables PREDUE notices
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28308 Bug ID: 28308 Summary: Select 'Days in advance' = 0 for Advance notice effectively disables PREDUE notices Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nick(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Looking at the code below, it seems that on the day an item is due we will only send the DUE notices, predues will not be sent In the advance_notices.pl cron: 276 if ( 0 == $upcoming->{'days_until_due'} ) { 277 # This item is due today. Send an 'item due' message. ... 323 } else { 324 $borrower_preferences = C4::Members::Messaging::GetMessagingPreferences( { borrowernumber => $upcoming->{'borrowernumber'}, 325 message_name => 'advance_notice' } ); 326 next UPCOMINGITEM unless $borrower_preferences && exists $borrower_preferences->{'days_in_advance'}; 327 next UPCOMINGITEM unless $borrower_preferences->{'days_in_advance'} == $upcoming->{'days_until_due'}; In this case, allowing the user to choose '0' is effectively disabling the notice. I think we need to remove 0 as an option, and uncheck all transports for patrons who have '0' set for days in advance -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
