This is not a very useful format, especially for patrons. Plain text, PDF or CSV would be better options. This was done in order to not introduced immediate breakage for third-party applications redirecting to Koha through openURL sending backend=FreeForm. Bug Bug 41057 introduced code to present a 404 if the provided backend in the URL is not a valid OPAC backend, preventing ILL requests from being created by visiting the URL directly. We'd like to be able to force confirm on kits, hotspots, and book club kits but not on DVDs and Audiobooks. All of these have materials specified in our catalog. Hitting confirm on each DVD and audio check in and out would make our workflows much slower, but we'd like to be able to do it for some items still.
