If a staff member from the bibliographic record, chooses to batch delete the items or uses the batch item deletion tool, this item will be deleted with no notice there is a hold. There are many services, other than self-service circulation, that use SIP2 for authentication. PC Reservation software, eContent, calendars, etc. can all use SIP2, so I think generalizing the wording would be helpful for clarity.
