[Bug 33760] New: Error 500 showing with self-registration form due to mandatory and optional fields
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Jun '26

03 Jun '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=33760 Bug ID: 33760 Summary: Error 500 showing with self-registration form due to mandatory and optional fields Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: System Administration Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: rebecca.bradshaw(a)nnuh.nhs.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com We have been having a lot of difficulty with our self-registration form on the OPAC. We set up some fields as mandatory but this triggered an error 500 message. On our self-registration form we have the employment details mandatory: https://elms.koha-ptfs.co.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl (we have had to make them optional for the time being due to the error showing). Whilst these fields were mandatory and new users completed them an error 500 would trigger when the form was saved. However, the user record would still be made (this led to many new users creating multiple records as they thought it had not saved the first time). The user record, however, would not contain the completed employment details or the consent (yes/no) answer for whether users would like to sign up to the Knowledge Share or Open Athens. This appears to have been because the mandatory fields in the staff interface user record form were not being shown on the OPAC self-registration form. This has meant that the fields staff must complete on the staff interface have had to be made optional so they 1. don't show on the self-registration form and 2. don't create an error 500 message from showing. Is it possible for the bug to be looked into please? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 35429] New: Warning in subscription module when makePreviousSerialAvailable is on

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35429 Bug ID: 35429 Summary: Warning in subscription module when makePreviousSerialAvailable is on Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Serials Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: pierre.genty(a)biblibre.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Hi, When makePreviousSerialAvailable is on, and "item type for older issues" in serial subscription is not set, editing serial issues could create items with an itype to NULL. It could be useful to have a warning message when adding new serial subscription if "item type for older issues" remains empty. This warning should occur only if makePreviousSerialAvailable is on and "Create an item record" is checked. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 34189] New: Provide warning for protected fields when overlaying record
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Jun '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=34189 Bug ID: 34189 Summary: Provide warning for protected fields when overlaying record Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: esther.melander(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl When using the basic editor, it is possible to edit protected fields. It would be nice to either grey-out (or prevent) editing or provide some other warning that a field is protected prior to saving. To recreate: 1. Create a Record overlay rule with Source, z39.50, 590, protect, skip, skip, skip, skip. 2. Edit a bib record and add a 590 local note. 3. Save 4. Edit the field again and select Replace record via z39.50. 5. Before saving, change the wording of the local note. 6. Save. 7. Look for the note and see that the edits were not saved and the field is protected as it should be. In this case the record overlay rule is working as it should, but it should not have been editable in the first place. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 35873] New: Count of returned items to CHECKIN message

It works with CHECKINSLIP which is for printing the list of checked in items. There you can also have [% old_checkouts.count %] placeholder for amount of checkedin items. If patron wants email of checkedin items, the [% old_checkouts.count %] placeholder doesn't work on CHECKIN notice. Also <<old_issues.count>> doesn't work on CHECKIN notice. Is it possible to show the amount of checkedin items also on email? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 34795] New: Options needed to customize serial collection year display in staff interface and OPAC

It would be helpful to be able to group years together into decades for display. When there are potentially decades worth of a serial collection the display becomes cluttered with each year as a separate button. Even more cumbersome if there are only a few items for each year. If items can be grouped by decade, it simplifies the display and makes it easier to navigate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
