The Manual has a page with the text of the licence, at: https://koha-community.org/manual/latest/en/html/license.html It would be useful to add a kind of "TLDR" section at the top - perhaps called “What the license allows you to do” - to better explain what users can and can't do. There are some areas that we could improve. Koha gets a quite good score, but a 'C' is given for: 1. the "skip links" - https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Skip_link 2. No search autocomplete 3. Button to place a hold on Also they pointed out that Tanaguru gives Koha a score of 65%, we could certainly improve it. https://www.tanaguru.com/en/open-source-tools-tanaguru/ Important note: The tests have been done using the following catalogue: http://cat-bib.nimes.fr/ (Koha 17.11.13) http://www.culture.gouv.fr/Thematiques/Livre-et-Lecture/Actualites/Barometr… http://www.culture.gouv.fr/content/download/213998/2245555/version/2/file/B… -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 40330] New: Accessibility of the OPAC Labels
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 28 Jul '26

28 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40330 Bug ID: 40330 Summary: Accessibility of the OPAC Labels Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Accessibility Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nina.martinez(a)biblibre.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk, matt.blenkinsop(a)openfifth.co.uk, oleonard(a)myacpl.org Provide labels to identify all form controls, including text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and drop-down menus. In most cases, this is done by using the <label> element. Labels need to describe the purpose of the form control. This section of the tutorial describes how to provide labels that are properly associated with form controls. A label and a form control should be associated with each other either implicitly or explicitly. Web browsers provide the label as a larger clickable area, for example, to select or activate the control. It also ensures that assistive technology can refer to the correct label when presenting a form control. We can improve the labelling of the OPAC to provide the label as a clickable area. https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/forms/labels/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 43183] New: Point Help link to Koha Manual "latest" URL
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 28 Jul '26

28 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43183 Bug ID: 43183 Summary: Point Help link to Koha Manual "latest" URL Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Staff interface Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: aude.charillon(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I am logging this bug on behalf of the Documentation team. When clicking "Help" in the top right of the staff interface, the URL of the Manual page you land on still contains a Koha version number - e.g. https://koha-community.org/manual/26.05/en/html/cataloging.html. This is confusing for users: it makes it look like there is a different manual for each Koha version, when in truth there isn't. We would like the Help link to always use the "latest" URL instead, e.g. https://koha-community.org/manual/latest/en/html/cataloging.html -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 43164] New: Patron attribute filters give incorrect results in the Circulation statistics wizards
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 28 Jul '26

It can be either a freetext attribute or one linked to an authorised value list. - Select count unique items - Select to display the results on screen - Results show patron categories correctly as rows but the columns headers are a series of dates rather than your patron attribute values. - Edit the report to switch the row and columns, row = patron attribute and column = patron category - Results show patron categories correctly as columns but the rows display library branch codes - Try a variety of different patron attributes, filters and display views - consistently (based on my tests), if the patron attribute is chosen as the column, dates are displayed, if chosen as the row, library branch codes display. Tested on 25.11.06 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 40308] New: New Perl Class (Koha::ExternalContent::OCLC) for integrating with OCLC's APIs
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 28 Jul '26

28 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40308 Bug ID: 40308 Summary: New Perl Class (Koha::ExternalContent::OCLC) for integrating with OCLC's APIs Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: MARC Authority data support Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: a.roussos(a)dataly.gr QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Background information ---------------------- OCLC recently [1] started offering a Linked Data (LD) [2] API [3] that allows looking up Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) numbers [4] in order to obtain unique URIs/URLs and Descriptions for a particular DDC (or range). In addition to API searches, a smaller subset of the LD can also be browsed online in a hierarchical manner [5]. This is just one from a large set of APIs offered by OCLC [6]. Reasoning behind this Bug report -------------------------------- We believe that Koha users who include DDC numbers in their authority cataloguing would benefit from an integration with the OCLC Dewey LD API that would allow them to easily look up DDCs in exchange for LD URIs/URLs and Descriptions. To this end, we propose the addition of a new Perl Class that will offer this functionality (Koha::ExternalContent::OCLC). Initially, the class will offer functions for issuing API access tokens and for looking up DDC URIs/URLs and Descriptions on the Dewey LD API. In the future, more code be added to the class to allow for integration with more OCLC APIs. This Bug report will also include a command-line tool that will enable users to update their authorities with OCLC Linked Data en masse, useful for authority records that already contain DDC information. Three new authority Framework plugins that will use the functions offered by the new Perl Class will be added as separate Bug reports. These offer the ability to look up DDCs with a single mouse click while inside the Authorities module cataloguing editor. Finally, we propose the addition of four new System Preferences that control the integration with the OCLC Dewey Linked Data API, namely: - OCLCAPIWSKeyClientID: Stores the client ID component of your OCLC API WSKey - OCLCAPIWSKeyClientSecret: Stores the client secret component of your OCLC API WSKey - OCLCDeweyLinkedDataAPI: Basically an On/Off "switch" for the lookup service - OCLCDeweyLinkedDataLanguage: Sets the language of the DDC description to be fetched References: [1] https://www.oclc.org/en/news/releases/2024/20240815-uniform-resource-identi… [2] https://www.oclc.org/en/linked-data.html [3] https://developer.api.oclc.org/dewey-ld [4] https://www.oclc.org/content/dam/oclc/dewey/versions/print/intro.pdf [5] https://entities.oclc.org/worldcat/ddc/ [6] https://www.oclc.org/developer/api/oclc-apis.en.html -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
