I think there should be options to control (a) whether the messaging tab is visible at all (I had to brute-force a screen change to disable it) and (b) an option to turn on/off each individual messaging setting. This matters because not all bib records are necessarily retrieved by author or title. [2] The highlighter does not distinguish between terms coming from the bib record itself and labels (e.g., "format") provided by the template or stylesheet.
