The latter one is, I feel, misnamed: it does not allow browsing in the normal sense. Instead, it is another kind of advanced search. A proper browsing feature would allow you to click on lists of subjects, and get lists of books in those subjects. The current one requires you to know suitable search words, which you might not have at all. In physical libraries (and bookstores), one of the most pleasurable things is to randomly walk and see what kinds of books there are, and what subjects there are, rather than look for a specific book. "Browse by subject" currently does not support that. It would be nice if it did. But that's a different thing. This happens both when the barcode is checked in and when the hold queue report is generated. Preferred behavior (open for discussion, of course) would be for damaged status to disallow reserves on items marked "Damaged," similar to items with a "Missing" status (though missing clears the status on checkin, we would NOT want that behavior for Damaged. Uploading it works fine, but the processing was terminating with a progress of NaN% (see attached screenshot). The file has about 360 returns in it. I split it into two files, with about 180 returns in each. The first one got through ok, but the second one resulted in NaN% several times. When the process has terminated with NaN% my session seems to be terminated to, and I have to log in again. For instance, you go back to the members page and choose "add" and then choose what kind of member you want to add. This occurs when there is a 020, but not a subfield 'a' (or 010 in UNIMARC). This occurs during the '-' scrubbing section of the script, and may or may not block the import of the record (further testing required).
