This works cross-browser, but has a high failure rate with regard to hiding the shadow consistently, resulting in an orphan shadow after the tooltip has been hidden. I propose to instead use the new CSS3 property "box-shadow" (-mox-box-shadow and -webkit-box-shadow for FireFox and Safari/Chrome). Currently Internet Explorer and Opera do not support this property. However, while the opacstylesheet syspref can point to a complete replacement stylesheet on a different server (full URL), the opaccolorstylesheet syspref won't obey an external URL. It requires the auxiliary stylesheet to be on the same server. For sites without easy access to the server level, this is a problem. The code seems to indicate that originally this setting was designed to be part of the the themes feature: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/css/" /> However, that feature seems never to have be implemented. Using irregular is problematic, particularly when bimonthly is quite regular and common. Shouldn't be too hard to add a case in the Javascript to handle this; value 13 is still available, but logically, this should be value 4 or 5. That would require displacing existing periodicity values, however. A better, larger solution would be to change the values from numeric to alphanumeric, and match them to the MARC 21 Format for Holdings Data 853$ field (http://www.loc.gov/marc/holdings/hd853855.html) a - Annual j - Three times a month b - Bimonthly k - Continuously updated c - Semiweekly m - Monthly d - Daily q - Quarterly e - Biweekly s - Semimonthly f - Semiannual t - Three times a year g - Biennial w - Weekly h - Triennial x - Completely irregular i - Three times a week This would improve standardization, provide more immediate options, and increase the flexibility to add new options down the road, without insertion problems. To reproduce: view a record that includes a 780 or 785 field with indicator 1 set to '1' and the system preference OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay enabled. The 780/785 field will show up, but according to the standard no display should be generated when 780/785 indicator 1 is set to '1'.
