The page that opens should have an input box for the user to compose a message to KohaAdminEmailAddress. The resulting e-mail should include not just the user's message but also the exact page s/he is on, and the currently-logged in username. The record has a title in the 245a, and that's the only subfield marked as mandatory in the framework. The only way around this seems to be to enter a blank space in one of the yet unused subfields in the 245 (b, c, etc.). If that is done, the record can be saved. This persistent timeout condition occurred after our catalog hit 750,000 items. Seems to be related to size, but may not be. If one would like to add "More Searches" html links where they usually specify, {TITLE} or {AUTHOR}, it would be good to have {AMAZONASSOCID} available as well, so any latter id change in the configuration will be reflected appropriately. Then one can code their link with &tag={AMAZONASSOCID}. See: http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/entry.jspa?externalID=636 for more info to help integrate. ------------------------------------------------ Beyond the scope of this bug request: Note: This sort of thing might be needed for other 3rd party integrations/mashups. Note: If upon consideration that it would be useful to expose many other configuration parameters, one might explore adding an option to the preferences editor (and tables/columns), to "expose" the value field as some supplied ID (i.e. {SUPPLIEDID} ). No code currently uses it when generating links to Amazon. Thus if a person searching the catalog clicks on a link taking them to Amazon for a purchase, Amazon doesn't have the tag and cannot associate the account accordingly. Thus, any possible revenue is lost. Places where the tag might be able to be appended: - When viewing the item details, the book cover art link might be able to have the tag appended. - The same might be true for other Amazon related links that koha generates.
